CAn not see my network as an available wireless network

I have 5 computers accessing internet through cable moden - lynksys - with a netgear router. Same set up for over a year. All computers XP - no Vista. AA week or so ago I noticed that I was being automatically connected to the net through my neighbor's wireless network - even though mine was listed as an available wireless network. (I have my network as the preferred network.) Then starting yesterday I am finding my computer connected to my neighbors - and my wireless network isn't even listed as available - or even listed. I have powered down all computers, turned off the modem and router, re-connected the modem, then the router, turned the computers on and I am fine - for an hour or so - then it starts all over.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the router is about to bite the dust.

Thanks for the opinion. Not what I wanted to hear, but the way things are made anymore, I guess I should be happy for the 1year + it lasted.

Put a small fan blowing directly on the router and see if that changes anything.
