Port forwarding nightmare...
Hi all,
I'm having a lot of trouble opening a port for BitComet. I have a desktop and laptop sharing a DSL connection via a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. I've followed the steps exactly at www.portforward.com (http://www.portforward.com/english/r...G/BitComet.htm) with no results. I have opened the ports for both TCP and UDP in the exceptions tab in Windows firewall settings, and made sure the application itself was in the exceptions list. I've also tried disabling Windows firewall altogether, and even bypassing the router and connecting directly to my DSL modem with no luck. I have no other internet security or virus protection installed on either PC besides Windows firewall. My only thought is that somehow my ISP is blocking these ports... Anyone have any ideas? |

Hi Brandish!
You can try calling the ISP to make sure about this. And, I'm sorry but we afraid that we can't assist you on this because the forum rules clearly stated that: Quote:
