i think i have a virus on my laptop...
i may have downloaded a virus and now i cannot connect to the internet. when i open internet explorer or firefox, i get the "server not found" error, and when i run a command for IPCONFIG it says "an internal error occurred:a device attached to the system is not functioning". my wireless network is enabled and working.
help please? i am pretty computer dumb when it comes to stuff like this.... |

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type devmgmt.msc
Under Network adapters, please tell me all the devices listed. Also, are there any devices anywhere in the Device Manager display with yellow ? or ! displayed?

under network adapters i have:
BroadJump PPPoE Adapter DAVICOM 9102/A PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter D-Link AirPlus G DWL-G630 Wireless CardPul Adapter #2 There aren't any alert notifications or symbols anywhere |

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2.
Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt: Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog Reboot the machine.

the first one seemed to work, but when i tried the second cammand, it came up with an error saying "the following command was not found: winsock reset catalog" should i still reboot?
