Re: Netgear DG834GT suddenly very low signal

Hi,
i have the same problem but with my wg614v7 netgear wireless router ,
except there was no defrag.
i am using vista home , i tried to test this on xp by connecting to my home network from anouther laptop with xp and he hads 100% signal and my vista has 60%.
i tried to place the laptop next to the routher and the result is the same.

in my university we have a wireless network and when i am seating in the class my signal is 100%.
i tried to chnage the channels and turned the wep off.
can it possible that vista drivers are bad?
even if i do have 100% in the university.

Re: Netgear DG834GT suddenly very low signal

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

I've created a new thread for your issue here.

Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Re: Netgear DG834GT suddenly very low signal

First step would be to go to the laptop maker's site and upgrade the wireless drivers. Many times this kind of issue is corrected in newer versions.
