Help with Verizon Fios router and VPN

I just went with Verizon Fios and they use a wireless router for connectivity. But when I use my VPN connection to my work, I connect fine and can run certain apps like telneting to a host or running certain client/server based apps but there are key applications that do not work...like Outlook (Won't connect to the Exchange Server), I can not map to a server share, and I can not use Remote Desktop (I get a message that the server is unavailable)

However, with my previous service, Comcast cable (I still have it connected) I can do all those things without any problems. So it sounds like the Verizon router is blocking certain things.
Anyone have this problem??

If you don't have the FiOS TV service, you can replace the router with one of your choice.

What FiOS router do you have, make/model.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I do have the TV service. And I have the Actiontec M1424-WR model router.

Re: Help with Verizon Fios router and VPN

Try configuring the router to put your machine in the DMZ and see if that helps.
