Wired internet refuses to connect...
I recently got my HP dv9000t back from having a speaker problem repaired, and finally got my own internet service upstairs. The wireless capabilities have always been fine as long as I've had this laptop, but the wired connection has never been able to utilize the internet.
I run the ethernet cable from my router to my port, and it always tells me I'm connected to an unidentified network and that it has limited to no connectivity. All my family members can use their laptops with my wired connection, as well as the Comcast tech who set it up, and nobody seems to have any idea why mine won't. It may be worth noting that they all have XP as their operating system, whereas I'm running Vista. I kinda need the wired connection for when the wireless might fail. Is there anything I can do? |
