cannot acquire ip

hi, i'm having a problem with connecting to a network. my computer was infected with numerous viruses, worms, and trojans. one that i was, and possibly still am, having problems getting rid of is the trojan pandex. i'm not sure if that's what is causing my problem or not. i've run numerous scans and they all don't seem to find anything anymore, but i still can't acquire an IP address when using the 'obtain IP address automatically' setting. however, if i put a static IP in, i can connect just fine. i hope someone here can help me. i'm attaching a hijackthis log just in case it is useful in determining the problem.

update: cannot acquire ip

just an update, i've fixed the problem with acquiring an IP. after doing some google searching i went to check to see if the DHCP service was started. it wasn't, and i noticed the path to execute was set to a windows\temp file (a bunch of numbers, like 123456.exe), which was a virus that i had removed earlier. i went into the registry and changed the path for dhcp to what it should be (got the correct value from another pc). after setting my tcp/ip properties back to obtain ip automatically, i rebooted and connected to my network right away.

now, i'm still not convinced i have this computer completely clean, so i'd still appreciate any advice on the hijackthis log i posted earlier. i did notice one thing in there that looked suspicious, the process C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\ACCD29.EXE that is running. thanks again for any help.

Re: cannot acquire ip

I would reinstall windows on the infected pc and that will erradicate any bug you might have. Its a pain to do but with great benifits in the end.

Re: cannot acquire ip

Well, you're running ACCD29.EXE out of the Windows\Temp folder, that can't be good.

Please follow this HJT Log 5 Step Process to post a HijackThis log in the HijackThis Log Help forum here.
