PC locks up after making wireless connection
Hi everyone,
I have a rather strange problem that has arisen in the past week. This is what happens: I boot up my computer, and after booting my wireless adapter (Linksys WMP54G) automatically makes a connection to my router (WRT54GL). About 10 seconds later, my PC totally locks up, forcing a reboot. If I am able to manually disable the adapter before it connects, the computer does not freeze. Interestingly enough, if I disable the adapter after booting up, and then re-enable it a few seconds later, it will connect and the computer will not freeze. It only freezes if it connects on its own after the initial boot up, which I think is strange. For fixes I've run in depth antivirus/spyware scans, and updated all hardware drivers. Does anyone know what would cause my PC to lock up just from connecting to the internet?
