Mistake Edimax multiport routers

I have been having problems with their router such as
  1. Disconnection of dynamic wan connections.
  2. Stops responding more frequent than my previous linksys router-which rarely needed a reboot.

Am I the only one with this complain?

Re: Edimax multiport routers

Hard to say, what specific model are we talking about? What's the whole network topology, i.e. what is the router connected to on the WAN and LAN sides?

Model: br6524k
The router is connected to only one motorolla cable modem on the wan port. The router is connected to only one 16 port linksys switch on the lan side. All computers are connected to the switch directly.

Re: Edimax multiport routers

Well, sounds like the router is the one piece of the puzzle, so I'd have to be looking at that one. I'd update the firmware to the latest available, and do a factory reset and reconfiguration. If that doesn't do it, you're probably looking at replacing it.
