Wierd My Network places problem

Ok guys, get this:

I have 6 computers running on my home network. 5 have cable connections and 1 is wireless. Somehow i cant get them to all talk to eachother. Now theres several wierd issues here:
1. There are some that can see eachother
- Computers 1 and 2 can see eachother
- Computers 3 and 4 can see eachother
- Computer 5 can't see anyone no matter how hard you try
- Compter 6 (Wireless) sometimes picks up 1 and 2
2. My Router (a linksys) registers all of them connected, and they have the same subnets and Workgroup names.

Is it just me or does this sound weird??

Ive done a TAFE course in networking and am by no means a stranger to networking. If anyone can suggest something, for the love of god please help!

Re: Wierd My Network places problem

Let's start with some basic information.

Please supply the following info, exact make and models of the equipment please.

Make and model of the broadband modem.
Make and model of the router.
If wireless, encryption used, (none, WEP, WPA, or WPA2)
Version and patch level of Windows on all machines, i.e. XP-Home (or XP-Pro), SP2, Vista, etc.

For every computer, I'd also like to see this:

Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt:

Type the following command:

nbtstat -n

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Have you tried pinging each computer from the others by name? If you can't ping both ways by name, you need to correct that before you proceed.
