[SOLVED] Downloads are stopping after 5-15 seconds

Hello, my downloads are stopping after 5-15 seconds. The downloads simply freeze.
The same happens to videos (youtube) and any Updates im trying to make.
I can`t even dl any antispyware cause it wont let me download anything.
Im using the Zonealarm Firewall and ive tried to download without the firewall on but that didnt work aswell.

Does someone maybe know whats the Issue?

What's your internet connection, and what kind of an account do you download with? Is it an administrator account or a regular account.

Upload: 1024 kbit/s*
wired.
Administrator Account.

No download Manager.(Torrents/Fiflefront/Fileplanet work for a weird reason)

Update: Same goes for Internet Sites. Sometimes they just freeze and wont load anymore so i have to refresh.

I would start with the basics, check your processes and cpu use. It may say that you have a good connection, but you really don’t, especially if your wireless. check the updates, maybe you got one that wasn’t compatible with your system and make sure the driver is working properly.

I just tried downloading something in safe mode and it worked. Maybe thats an useful information.

Btw all the processes are ok i checked them. I also run Hitman Pro in Safe mode. It removed abit Spyware.

But the problem is still there :/

Well, next is to fire up MSCONFIG and remove all the startup programs. Test and see if downloads work. If so, add a few startup applications in and test again. Try to narrow it down to the application that's causing the problem. Obviously, you have to reboot between MSCONFIG changes.

Yes that helped me i can download again now as far as i noticed. At least the small downloads and the Youtube videos etc. are download able so far. Now i need to find out which program causes the Problems.

Just start adding them back until the culprit is discovered.

It was Skype.exe for some weird reason it blocks my downloads etc. <.<
