Help, im stuck!

I just build my own Computer, i bought an ABIT IP35 Pro Motherboard, it was good in every aspects and it has a built in LAN GigaBit Ethernet 10/100/1000Mbps, however, few days later i installed a DSL Cable internet in our home and when i plugged in the Ethernet Cable on the slot provided the computer turns blue screen (physical dump.. etc), and since then it keeps on restarting by itself due to that blue screen everytime i switched it on...and i did not even have a chance to right click or whatsoever, however it runs as if nothing happen when i go to safe mode without networking...and when i run safe mode with networking, it blue screened..

So now i did not even had it switched on and i asked someone to repair it but havent got it home to me yet, in your opinion, wat is wrong with my computer? is it all the motherboard faults (hpefully not coz i bought the motherboard from other country) or just the driver of the LAN (which is need to be updated)or maybe other matter..?

Please help, i really need ways on how to solve this problem cause i want a full connection to my computer..

Regards,

Re: Help, im stuck!

Hi d_animality and welcome to TSF

Take the cord out and boot up normally. Then follow this speech I created:

It has come to my attention that you have either experienced many or just one BSoD (Blue Screen of Death). To figure out what file or piece of hardware is causing this I will need your minidump files to work with. I will use these files to read what was on your RAM when the exception at the Kernel happened. I will use the program WinDbg to do this. Please follow the below steps for me to obtain your dump files.

I would like you to go to:
  • Start
  • Run
  • Type in Explorer and click Ok

Then I would like you to enter this into the address bar or go to this directory:

C:\Windows\Minidump

When succesfully navigated to this folder I would like you to move all of these files onto your desktop and creat a new Zip folder called "Minidump Files." Place your Minidumps into this Compressed Zip Folder and upload it to the TSF Server in your next post including more information on what has happened since my last post. The second method is that you can upload the same Zip Folder to another file sharing server like Microsoft Skydrive if you have a Windows Live Account so I can download it there to.

Re: Help, im stuck!

Hi techpro5238.. thanx for ur reply.. however the PC is already being formatted and i cannot get the dump files u wanted.. now i still havent connected the LAN cable to the ethernet port cause im afraid the BSoD will appear again...is using the LAN cable much faster than using wireless cause i dont really see any differences tho.. only the speed is 1gb compare to wireless 54mb .. however i dun see any fast changes.. so wat do u tink the problem causing the BSoD.. is the port not compatible with the LAN cable? however i already plug the lan cable to other computer n it works fine... so what shud i do in order to make it function on the PC n prevent the BSoD from reappearing? does updating drivers help? need suggestions here.. thanx!!

Re: Help, im stuck!

This leads me to believe that this is your card doing this. Try reinstalling the most updated driver for your LAN card then plug in the cable. If you get a BSoD follow my speech and post EXACTLY what the BSoD said.
