Not sure if this is the right area but. Help please
![]() Okay. My brother says he can view my history via router. I do not wish for him to see it. 1.Can a router store history(site addresses, email, etc. from users(ppl who is connect through ports)? 2.Can a moderator access this information? a.How much can a moderator access? b.How can a moderator access it? c.will the information be erased? 3.If the moderator can access the information and viewed my internet activities, can I do anything to stop it? 4.is my privacy violated? some routers will keep logs of internet access. You can turn that feature off, but if you do, you will need to password protect your router to keep others from going in and turning it back on. You need to access your router settings to do this.
what moderator are you talking about? If you are talking about forums, the moderator cannot see anything on your router. |

Some routers huh. well we got a SBC 2wire router i think. DSL.does that record history? The mod I'm talking about is the one in charge of the router like the one who can adjust settings.
Is anything i can do that will not let my history be recorded or overwrite it? like switching internet browser, install some program, or adjust some settings? Last edited by DeviousDork; 11-24-2007 at 01:26 PM. |

So, there is no way to erase the search history off a wireless router??
even if i have the password for said router, and if there is a way than can i change the settings wirelessly or would i have to hardwire to the router to delete the history? |

You can go in and erase the log in most routers...
