Exclamation Router Privacy Problem

Not sure if this is the right area but. Help please

Okay. My brother says he can view my history via router. I do not wish for him to see it.

1.Can a router store history(site addresses, email, etc. from users(ppl who is connect through ports)?
2.Can a moderator access this information?
a.How much can a moderator access?
b.How can a moderator access it?
c.will the information be erased?
3.If the moderator can access the information and viewed my internet activities, can I do anything to stop it?
4.is my privacy violated?
ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

no need to answer all in one post.

Not sure? ask me some questions.

Re: Router Privacy Problem

some routers will keep logs of internet access. You can turn that feature off, but if you do, you will need to password protect your router to keep others from going in and turning it back on. You need to access your router settings to do this.

what moderator are you talking about? If you are talking about forums, the moderator cannot see anything on your router.

Re: Router Privacy Problem

Some routers huh. well we got a SBC 2wire router i think. DSL.does that record history? The mod I'm talking about is the one in charge of the router like the one who can adjust settings.

Is anything i can do that will not let my history be recorded or overwrite it? like switching internet browser, install some program, or adjust some settings?

I recently had a 2wire modem/router for my sbc dsl and it had the ability to keep a log, So I have to say if someone else is in charge of the router, then my best advise is not to go anywhere that you don't want others to know about.

Re: Router Privacy Problem

So, there is no way to erase the search history off a wireless router??
even if i have the password for said router, and if there is a way than can i change the settings wirelessly or would i have to hardwire to the router to delete the history?
