[SOLVED] wifi Dead Spot? What blocks wifi signal?
OK so my wireless signal on my laptop was low in my room so i bought an antenna that is suppose to increase the range of my network but after hooking it up i see no change in my signal so now i believe there may be something blocking the signal or something does anyone no what would cause this.

Re: wifi Dead Spot? What blocks wifi signal?
first of all, try placing your laptop right next to your wireless router to make sure that its a signal problem.
What antenna did you purchase? was it a replacement for the one on your router? as far as blocking your signal, it could be anything from walls to microwaves to wireless phones. |

Did you try changing the channel on the router?

Yes, select a specific channel. Auto frequently just means regular disconnections.
