New Broadband Account

I'm switching from DSL to Cable. I received the equipment, and I want to make as smooth a transition as possible. Unfortunately, all I received was a modem with no router, and I have two other computers that I want to network. I do have a Linksys wireless B router and a Linksys wireless G access point. Can I use these? What would be the best way to wire these together? I realize the the B router isn't very fast, but will it do until I can get a G? Thanks!

Re: New Broadband Account

You should be able to insert the wireless router between the Modem and pc . . no need for the access point,

See this for more on networking . .

Re: New Broadband Account

You can also connect the 802.11G AP to a LAN port on the router and use it to supply the wireless connections. In that case, I'd disable the 802.11b wireless in the router.
