Recieving more packets than sending.

Hi for about a month now my modem stops every 5 minutes causing no internet connectivity, which is really frustrating.
When i looked at the modems status it showed that more packets where being received than what it was sending, I don't know if this is the issue why my modem stops working every five minutes but i really think it is cause I have no idea what else it could be.

I would really appreciate if some one could help me with this.

It's perfectly normal for you to receive far more data than you're sending. I'm typing in a couple of sentences here, and when I click SEND, I'll get a whole page of data and graphics back.

Do you have any idea what else it could be then?
Could it possibly be a weak signal?

Register at DSLReports and run their line quality tests. Post a link to the results here.
