Question Wireless Belkin Router Problem

I have a DSL connection and the Belkin wireless router N Wireless Router http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=372043. It was working fine, i can currently visit websites... however now whenever i visit sites like You Tube... or try and download anything over a few mb then it stops halfway.

I've tried powercycling everything, and connected my computer straight to the dsl line and it work PERFECT. even if i connect the computer (wired) straight to the router it works fine... so it's something going on with the wireless part of the router.

HELP!!!

ps it happens with other wireless laptops in the house also.

Re: Wireless Belkin Router Problem

The only immediate suggestions would be to download and install the latest firmware, and also reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure. If that doesn't do it, I'd contact Belkin tech support.

Re: Wireless Belkin Router Problem

Contacted belkin via email this is what they gave me:

"Thank you for contacting Belkin Technical Support.

We understand that you are facing issues with the router, you are unable to download files from the secured websites.

Please follow the below given steps to resolve the issue :

- Open Internet explorer and go to your router setup
- Leave the password blank and click Submit. (if you haven't set one)
- Click on Connection Type
- Select PPPOA and click on Next
- Change the Idle time to "0 ".
- Change the MTU settings to "1400".
- Give a check mark for Dial on Demand.
- Click on Apply Changes."

The only problem i have no idea where the idle time 0 goes as mine says close after _ min. it also ask for DSL username and password, however i dont use one to connect to broadband... so i switched... then it wouldnt connect, so i switched it back to dynamic -
it worked for a little while and then back to the old school -

so i went in and reset it via the setup software ill let you know how it goes - if this doesn't work i'll try a factory reset, and if that doesn't work i'm taking it back and getting a different wireless router.
