[SOLVED] Internet Is Connected But Browsers Won't Load Pages!

I reinstalled Windows XP a couple days ago & up until this morning the Internet was running fine. The modem & router turned off earlier today for around 5 mins as we had a power outage. When the router & modem rebooted, I couldn't access anything in a browser, although I can run other things which require Internet access such as Guild Wars (online game) & Windows Live Messenger.

Due to this, it's obvious that the Internet connection IS on but I can't access anything in a browser be it Firefox or Internet Explorer. I just get the common message "Firefox/IE Can Not Connect To The Server At.......".

I've made sure WORK OFFLINE isn't checked, so I'm not sure what else to do. Like I said, the Internet IS on but the browsers fail to load any pages.

My router is - Linksys WRT54GS & I am using Cable Broadband.

Have you disabled all the firewalls to see if something happened there?

Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt:

Type the following commands:

PING 216.109.112.135

PING yahoo.com

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

The browsers seem to be working fine now, I'm not sure what the problem was. Anyway, I'm not sure you'll see anything wrong here as the browsers are working now but IF you do spot something wrong I'd appreciate knowing, thanks for all your help:

Nope, everything's working great with no problems so far. I'm not sure what was wrong really. I DID install the latest firmware though & then the Internet started working so that was probably what was wrong with it, although I'm not sure.
