xp pro - can't ping

Hi,
I have small home peer to peer network. 1 xp pro, 3 xp home, 1 w2k, 1 network hd. I can ping from all pcs. I can not ping the 1 xp pro machine, even with firewall turned off. I am using mcafee enterprise 8.5i. I have turned off access protection. I can connect to shares on the xp pro machine, do net view on xp pro machine. All internet connectivity works on all machines. I can't sort why I can not ping the xp pro machine.

Re: xp pro - can't ping

Failure to ping is almost always a firewall issue. There's a firewall in there somewhere that is blocking the pings.
