concurrent connections
having a problem with programs that make multiple connections, such as proxy checking programs like Charon v0.6 and such. all my connections show up refused or time out. ran LSPFix and it has found no problems, any suggestions? thanks in advance.
all of these programs were working fine up until about a week ago when i somehow got infected with adware, all the adware is gone at this point, im only having problems with connections as described above. |

Re: concurrent connections
Since this is SP2, you should not use that LPSFix program. Here's the proper repair for SP2.
TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2. Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt: Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log Reboot the machine.

Re: concurrent connections
Check your Services are Started on all PCs:
Note: You can check the services in Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Let's also see this: Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt: Type the following command: IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Re: concurrent connections
Try booting in safe mode with networking and see if you still have the issue.
