IP Camera

I am trying to install an IP camera. It works fine on our network, I can see it from any of the computers on the network. However, we want to be able to see it from the internet on our wetsite. The instructions with the camera says to port forward port 80 on the router. I have done this and it still does not work. I need help.

How about the make/model of the broadband modem, the router, and who your ISP is? Many ISP's block port 80, and your "modem" may be a modem/router.

The router is a Buffalo WBR2-G54S. I do not know the make of the modem as it is part of the FM internet system provided by the provider. This is a wireless internet system that uses FM line of sight. They do not block port 80 as I have talked to them about the problem. They did not have an answer to my problem.

The camera is aTrendnet TV-IP100.

I have that exact camera. I think your issue may be the Buffalo router, try using an alternate port, say 8080.

The two ports have to be the same.one is the camera's port,the other one the wall bu which the camera was connected to the net,like a router.So open the port (like 88) both the camera and the router.Then you will find the camera on the LAN.
