[SOLVED] 2000 server setup
too start off heres my setup
i have 2 nic cards and 2k server i have a router setup that hands out DHCP(its ip is set too 192.168.1.6), my first nic named External is connected to the router and has a static ip set to: IP Address: 192.168.1.80 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.6 DNS: 192.168.1.6 and my 2nd nic( Named Internal) is set to and has active directory going out and dhcp: IP Address: 10.0.0.42 Subnet: 255.0.0.0 Gateway: none DNS: 192.168.1.6 then my computer that is connected to my Internal Nic receaves DHCP of the following IP: 10.0.0.1 Subnet 255.0.0.0 Gateway: 10.0.0.42 DNS: 10.0.0.42 ok im able to do internet on the 2000 server but not the client machine connected to the internal nic, i have DNS setup on my 2000 server, and under "Forward Lookup Zones" it expands to my doman name and when you click properties on that and then under the Zone Transfers tab it is set to Only to the following servers and the ip i added to it is 192.168.1.6 sorry if i have left anything out, never made a server before and am playing around a bit, so any help would be nice, again the problem is i cant get internet on the client machine on the Internal NIC |
