Right i am having a really big problem, i have a asrock K7VT2 mother board with a ethernet port built in. The problem is that my ethernet port is not recognised, i have a new modem which will not connect cuz the port is not recognised, also wen i go on the site and download the new updated drivers for ethernet LAN it will not let me install them. The message cannot find proper NIC keeps popping up. I ave tried so many things to try and solve this problem, i doent wanna keep using usb all the time, i wud like my ethernet port to work. so can anyone help.

Start, Run, devmgmt.msc
Under Network adapters, please tell me all the devices listed. Also, are there any devices anywhere in the Device Manager display with yellow ? or ! displayed?
