How to configure CISCO 2811 with two public IP address
Dear All
We have a current setup with 217.x.x.x for one of our clients. All the Application activities going through that public ip address using NAPT (Network Address port translation) . I have to configure a backup/fail over line for the same client. So we took another internet line (ADSL) from a different ISP. These ISP having different public address. I am using CISCO 2811 ISR. My clients all application's communicating to our servers through the above IP address. So I can't change the ip address. How we can resolve this issue without changing the IP address? Thanks in advance Anumod |

Re: How to configure CISCO 2811 with two public IP address
If I remember correctly with cisco you have to do it through an access list, pointing the ADSL port to the 217.x.x.x and vice versa.

Re: How to configure CISCO 2811 with two public IP address
I will have to go through and find it in my cisco book, which is at home. Its been a long time since that class. Are you pretty familiar with cisco routers? The reason I ask is it is extremely easy to mess up the configurations.

Re: How to configure CISCO 2811 with two public IP address
Kinbard don't worry,
Me only configured the existing setup. I configured Leased line as primary line and ISDN as backup on the same router for another application. But I never worked with ADSL with public IP. My clients communicating with the server using 3G connection (Using handheld device). Please try to get some solution for this. Thanks Anumod |
