Question About Wireless Networking
Im about to set up a wireless network in my home, and was just wondering, if one computer gets some type of virus, adware, or whatever, can it travel to other computers on the network, without me actually sending files back and forth between the computers?

Re: Question About Wireless Networking
It can, though most viruses don't normally propagate without some action on your part. Best advice, have current AV and spyware scanners on all the machines. If you're not using file/print sharing, you can use the Windows firewall to block those requests, and you can also configure Windows to disable file/print sharing totally.

Re: Question About Wireless Networking
Enable NETBIOS over TCP/IP for 2K/XP
[list=1][*]Right click Network Neighborhood[*]Select Properties[*]Right click your Internet Connection (ex. Local Area Connection)[*]Select Properties[*]Make sure Client for Microsoft Networks, and File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks are NOT selected.
