Re: wireless network reset

I think you can do this through the router settings. Since you have it encrypted, I'm assuming you know how to get to it.

If you don't, it's as simple as typing it IP address into a browser window (IE, firefox etc).

If you need more help, please post back with the make and model of your router.

Hope this helps

Re: wireless network reset

The ip won't be on the router, but every router has an ip.

What's the make/model of your router?

Re: wireless network reset

Type 192.168.1.1 into your browser (into the address bar). That is it's default IP. You should be able to change the settings there.

That's weird. Did you ever change/set a username or password?

Try that the other way round too, username - admin password - leave it blank

Re: wireless network reset

None that I know, but even if there is one, TSF rules dictate we can't tell you, sorry.

Hang around until someone who knows this router comes along, cause I'm out of ideas.

Re: wireless network reset

I think if you update it's fireware (to 2.0 atleast) you should be able to do it.

Re: wireless network reset

Reset the router to factory defaults by holding the reset key for 15 seconds with power on. Then you'll be able to use the default IP address and password as described previously. Also, the wireless will default to no encryption, so you're all set.
