[SOLVED] Error 619
Hi All,
I've googled this problem as well as looked here at TSF, but either they don't work or they're too complicated to follow. W2k-pro boots up fine, though a little slower than usual at the "Detecting network connections" phase. Then I'll flip on my adsl modem and enable my LAN connection and proceed to surf after login. The problem starts when I disconnect my adsl connection and try to immediately login to the ISP again. My computer hangs for a bit at the "Registering your computer on the network" window, and follows up with Error 619. This also happens when I try to login to ISP after waking my computer from hibernation. If I'm lucky, I might get registered on the network after a few hours of trying. The only sure way to login again is a hard reboot, which (according to Error 619) should fix any recent changes. But I've been doing hard reboots repeatedly the last few days to no avail. As a side note, my computer generally started acting slower when I installed Spybot and AVG. I then uninstalled Spybot and AVG (to see if that was causing it to slow down), and then the Error 619 starts poping up. (About 90% of the time it is Error 619.) When I do a full Shut down, a popup will ask if I want the Connection Tray to "End Now". Not sure if it is a System Tray/Connection Tray problem or what. Sorry for the long winded post. Any help is appreciated. Urby |

Re: Error 619
Here's a couple of hits I find, see if any of them offer a solution.

Re: Error 619
Thanks johnwill. I looked into those links and tried them out for a few hours with no luck. In frustration, I ended up reinstalling the OS. It's now fast like... like greased lightning.
Thanks for the suggestions anyway. Urb |

Well, that's one way.
