BThomeHub
A few weeks ago I installed a BTHomeHub router and connected it wirelessly to my 2 PC's with Linskeys Range Booster USB Adaptors and to my laptop which was already wireless enabled. After a few issues, one which necessitated a number of calls to India, I got it up and running.
After the 10 settling in days I am getting acceptible speeds and stability. However, my computer has crashed 3 times, with the blue screen, saying something like - your computer has been shutdown to avoid it being damaged. I'm guessing this must be related to installing the hub as I have never had this problem previously. The other problem I am experiencing is, when I am using Google for example, and click on a site I am interested in, I am frequently redirected to porn or advertising sites. Again, I never had this problem with my previous router, a Vigor220USB I have Norton Internet Security 2007, Webroot Spy Sweeper and SpyWareBlaster installed and do regular sweeps with Ad-Aware 2007. Has anyone any ideas/help in regard to this? It would be very much appreciated. I am using XP Professional. |

Re: BThomeHub
The redirection to porn or advertising sites has to be some kind of malware, there really is no other reason that could be happening.
