Sharing connection between PC and 360...

I am currently using a Comcast cable high speed connection. I am unable to use my network switch http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1115416836711&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=3671122279B09 so that I can be online on my PC at the same time as my Xbox 360.

Basically this is how it goes. I have an ethernet cable from my modem to my switch, and then a cable to my PC and one to my 360. My PC will connect, but my 360 will not. If I go from my modem directly to my 360, it connects (after resetting my modem). I am not good with networking and understanding IP address issues and things of that nature, but it appears that I am unable to 'share' the connection between the two..? Would an actual router solve the issue possibly? Thanks in advance.

Yep, you need a broadband router to share the connection. I also suggest you look at this list of XBOX 360 compatible routers when making your selection: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/co.../equipment.htm
