Grin Linksys wireless router wrt54gs problem

Hello everyone,

I have had my wireless router since 2004 and has worked perfect since then. A few days ago the power went out due to a thunder storm. Since then it seems like something happened to router because my two wireless computers cannot connect to the internet. I have my main computer hardwired to the router and it works fine but the laptop and other wireless desktop cannot connect to the internet. I ran the command prompt and did the ipconfig/all and what it says is the following:
local area connection and wireless connection media disconnected. I have tried calling linksys support but my warranty expired and they cannot help or should I say I refuse to pay the $30.00 fee if at the end of it all they tell me that I need a new router. If anyone has expereinced this problem or knows how to fix it please reply to this thread.

Thanks

If you can still access the WAP via the web interface, I would go in and check your settings. Better yet, do a firmware upgrade and/or reset the unit to defaults and start over.

If that doesn't work, bite the bullet and spend $50 on a new WAP.
