Re: wireless connected, but web pages did noit show
Please supply the following info, exact make and models of the equipment please.
The name of your ISP and country of residence. Make/model of the broadband modem. If dial-up, please specify. Make/model of the router (if any). Connection type, wired, wireless. If wireless, encryption used, (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.) Make/model of network card or wireless adapter. Make/model of your computer (motherboard if home-built). Version and patch level of Windows on all affected machines, i.e. XP-Home (or XP-Pro), SP2, Vista, etc. Also, please give an exact description of your problem symptoms, including the exact text of any error messages. Also, I'd like to see this: Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt: Type the following command: IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Re: wireless connected, but web pages did noit show
It appears to have a connection to the router, let's try this:
Try these simple tests. Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt: PING 216.109.112.135 Tell us the results. PING yahoo.com Tell us the results.

Re: wireless connected, but web pages did noit show
OK, it's a DNS issue, not actually a connectivity issue.
TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2. Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt. Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log Reboot the machine. If that doesn't do it, repeat the PING tests and post the results again. If they're the same, let's try this: Let's try replacing your DNS server. Follow the instructions at OpenDNS for Windows and configure to use OpenDNS for your DNS server. See if that makes a difference.

Re: wireless connected, but web pages did noit show
Hi Johnwill, I tried both the WINSOCK and the TCP/IP commands. After I rebooted, the laptop refused to connect to the Zoom router. The signal is very strong, but it failed to connect completely. Below is the result of the new PING

Re: wireless connected, but web pages did noit show
Well, it appears it did connect. It's able to resolve IP addresses and DNS addresses. However, you appear to have some sort of problem that breaks the connection.
I'd be looking to change the router's wireless channel, this appears that your connection is being broken. When you scan for wireless networks, do you see any others besides yours?

Re: wireless connected, but web pages did noit show
John, I agree with you, that the laptop is loosing connection. Even as I am typing this, I am looking at the laptop. First it connected. But in few seconds, it lost the connection.
++++++++++ These are the types of message I am getting on the laptop. When I float the mouse over the wireless Icon: I see this +++++++++++++++ Wireless Connection: Not connected. Right-click here for more options. +++++++++++++++ when I right click, I get: 1. Change windows firewall settings 2. Open network connections 3. Repair 4. View available wireless networks +++++++++++++ Option 1: FIREWALL is already switched OFF. Option 2: Wireless connection shows: INTERNET GATEWAY - Connected Wireless Network Connection - Not connected (Realtek ... LAN adapter) Windows could not connect to this network. There might be inteference between this computer and the network access point, or the network is refusing to access this computer. To restart the connection and try to establish full connectivity, Click REPAIR. If clicking REPAIR does not restore connection, the problem might be with the network, not with this computer. Contact the person who manages your netwrok. ++++++++++ When I click REPAIR, I get... Warning: Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Disabling the wireless network adapter. Makre sure your network adapter is is properly installed. +++++++++++++
