Strange Connectivity Issues
Here's a brief rundown of my home network...
DSL provided by local telco, Embarq (formerly Sprint) 1 router, Linksys MR814v2 2 computers, both running XP SP2 Occasionally we will experience connectivity issues, whether both PCs are being used on the internet or only one is. A game ala World of Warcraft will run fine, no network issues, yet other traffic (websites, voice communication, IRC) will stop functioning. Telnet traffic also seems to be fine, while the others die. Usually a DSL modem reset will help. I'm wondering though, is it our DSL, or something else? The fact that game traffic will work, yet normal HTTP traffic will 'break' is boggling... Any thoughts? |

Re: Strange Connectivity Issues
P2P applications running frequently cause this kind of issue.
