This is a pretty unique problem since I've asked my ISP and told a few other people and nobody knew any possible solutions.
I'm basically going to cut and paste what I said to another tech support :p < I'll give you an example: 1. I click 'download' on a link from any website. 2. It starts downloading at a normal speed and through the Firefox default download manager (not described in first enquiry). 3. After an amount of time (which can vary, usually lasts no longer than 5 minutes) the download manager shows the file is going at 0kb/s and eventually times out and stops. At this point I cannot continue the download, even if I click the link and start the whole process again. With downloading a third-party download manager like Orbit or DownThemAll I can click resume when the download times out to keep it going. You can probably see how it would be a hassle to hang around at the computer waiting to click the 'resume' button when downloading a large file. Additionally(!), it will only resume the download if it is being downloaded from a link like 'www.files.com/fun.exe' and not like an 'indirect' download from say 'http://www.filecloud.com/files/download.php?file_id=4586&content_server_id=8 ' (note that Filecloud is an example, the problem does not apply only to that site). > Hope you understand what I mean :) I have tried different browsers, didn't work. Re: Download time-outs
Register at DSLReports and run their line quality tests. Post a link to the results here.

Re: Download time-outs
Thanks, I'm in the queue. It said that I'm not pingable so I clicked continue anyway and looked at the FAQ. I followed the steps except in my Network Connections I only have a Local Area Connection (only computer in house) and under the advanced tab it doesn't have any options.
So the results will be 'limited'. Edit: Line quality target IP does not respond to ICMP ping

Re: Download time-outs
Hamachi, a networking program, failed to disable it's own connection when it exited which I think made all the download info go through all these unnecessary paths before it reached the HD (not sure on that though, just glad it's fixed!)
