Remote Network Issue: How would I do this?
Here's my situation: I will be going to college soon, but I need to keep access to a website that tracks IP addresses. Essentially, I need to log on to that website through my home network so that it doesn't show a second IP address on my account. I don't want to remotely access a computer on the network, I would like to access this website through my home network so the same IP address shows up on my account. Is this possible, and if so, how can I do it?
Thanks |

Re: Remote Network Issue: How would I do this?
There are many commercial options available to do this. GotoMyPC is one example. You can also check out VNC (virtual network connection) and noIP.com to do this yourself for free. Takes a little figuring out but is within the scope of a moderately knowledged computer user.

Re: Remote Network Issue: How would I do this?
Use DynDNS to map your home IP address to a constant URL and use UltraVNC to remotely control the home PC.
