wireless router to dsl modem
Hi kids. Total rooky here with a question. We have 3 desktops connected to our dsl modem via ethernet connection. Our dsl modem has 4 dsl ports. Can I connect a wireless router to this 4th port so that others in the office can use our internet connection with their laptops and wireless connections?

Re: wireless router to dsl modem
Hi, and welcome to TSF!
![]() It sounds like the modem already has a router built in. First check if it has wireless capabilities. This should be obvious because it will have an antenna if it is wireless. If it doesn't have wireless, you can hook up a router, but you will have to disable DHCP in the setup before it will work.
