I just installed DSL and my work laptop connects to our wireless network fine. However, when I try to access the VPN to my work, it connects for a minute and then knocks off the DSL modem. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? Is there a setting that I need to change? I've checked everything that I know of. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: vpn disconnects my dsl modem
Do you know for sure the dsl modem is getting "knocked off"??
First things first, are you running a 3rd party firewall? If so, turn this off and see what happens. Is the connection more stable? Also what is the private IP address range at your work. If it is the same private IP address as your home address there may be a conflict. There may also be some other settings that needed to be tweaked when using DSL with a VPN. But lets check the basics first. JamesO |
