Network dropping connections

Recently my home network has been dropping connections multiple times a day. I have SBC DSL Pro. I'm using a Siemens Speedstream 4100 modem and a ZyXEL XtremeMIMO X-550 Wireless Broadband Router. I have 2 desktops connected to the network via a Ethernet cable. When the connection drops it usually happens to just one of the desktops, but sometimes both will be down too. I'm pretty bad at networking so can anyone help me?

Re: Network dropping connections

What's the version and patch level of Windows on all affected machines, i.e. XP-Home SP2.

The first step I'd take is upgrade the firmware on the broadband router.

Re: Network dropping connections

I'm running Windows XP Home SP2. The firmware on the router is the latest. It usually drops connection when I exit CS:Source. I have to restart my computer to restore it. Once in a while it would be fine and not drop.

Re: Network dropping connections

Counter-Strike:Source. It's a game, sorry if I didn't make myself clear enough. This morning my network dropped connection again. It wouldn't start working again until I reset my router back to defaults. I also recently disabled nvidia Access Manager on this computer because it would always give me a blue screen when I ran torrents, but if that was the cause I don't understand why my other computer can't connect to the internet either.
