networking ancient history

I have a project in progress to network three test machines to the companies intranet. These machines run on a dos OS. I have been able to find software that will allow the machines to access the net. The main problem being I am going around in circles tring to find nic cards that will work with msdos 6.22. I cannot upgrade the motherboards as I require ISA slots for the machine interface. This narrows the choice down to older boards and processors. Is there anyone who can suggest an appropriate nic card and where they can be obtained?:sigh

Try Newegg or Ebay.

I always used to use 3com, or linksys. You should be able to find some used ones.

Re: networking ancient history

There are a number of motherboards that have PCI and ISA slots, I used to have several, and I think I still have one system with that configuration in the closet. Although it's a bit more difficult, I believe with some searching, you'll find NIC's with DOS drivers. For a good selection of DOS drivers, check out this Universal Network Boot Disk: http://netbootdisk.com/index.htm
