Connecting Apps through Proxy Server
Hello everyone,
First off, I'm new here and this will be my first post. I am forced, at the time, to access the internet through a proxy server that is split at least into 4 LAN connections. I configured my ethernet card to connect through this proxy server and my web browsers to do the same. Right now, my browsers work fine, but not my applications (ie. AIM, ftp programs, and bitTorrent software). All of these programs allow configuration for proxy servers. AIM works with the proxy. I've had less success with the bitTorrent software (Azureus). In an attempt to resolve the problem I did some research and found a program called proxifier that would allow my computer to think of the proxy server as a direct connection, but I was unable to configure proxifier with my proxy server due to a SSL block in the .squib file. I thus abandoned this approach. I'm not sure what to do now. Connections beyond HTTP do not seem to function in Azureus, that is, downloads do not proceed. Any suggestions would be well received, thanks! Regards, - Bryan |

Re: Connecting Apps through Proxy Server
I think if you check the Tech Support Forum Rules & Conduct, you'll find we provide no support for P2P applications. We won't be able to help you with this issue.
