ping the same ip with two differner pc names

hi
i have two pc's . one is pc1 and other is pc2. the ip address of pc1 is 192.168.0.30 and ip address of pc2 is 192.168.0.24 but when i ping the pc1 it pings the ip 192.168.0.24 and when i ping the pc2 it also ping the ip 192.168.0.24. and i cannot acces the pc1 from network with name of pc instead i can access it with ip 192.168.0.30.
both the pcs assigning ip from dhcp server.
os is xp
can anyone help

Makes no sense.

On each of these machines, do this:

Start, Run, COMMAND to open a command prompt:

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.
