Ok to begin... we had just set-up a desktop to run as an in-house server and we keep getting this error every 5 minutes. to date we have done this to try and fix it:

It is set-up as the domain controller and as the primary DNS server.

Active directory is the controller.

It only has one adapter and DNS is setup to listen on it.

Tried the actual IP address instead of the loop back. and vis-versa.

Imported GPO's no fix.

Another one of those brain scratchers I just can't figure out

Is Windows Firelwall enabled? Or are you using a hardware firewall?
Also, what user is it listed under?

Re: Event ID: 1054 userenv

I have it narrowed down to a computer causing the problem and low and behold its the one that takes 15 minutes to login. We have tried removing the computer and re-established it to the domain. Deleted and re-established his profile, registered with DNS several times, gave it a static IP. Have even done registry edits.

The persons logon is still the same... nothing we have done seems to work.
