Remote share account setup

This seems like it should be easy, but I haven't been able to figure it out. I'd like to setup a username\password sharing the c: on my computer. So that other computers on my LAN can connect and access my computer after entering the username\password. I don't want this account to show up as a login option when I boot up. Thanks

Re: Remote share account setup

What version of XP are you running on the machine with the shared folder, XP-Home or XP-Pro?

With XP-Pro, you can turn of simple sharing and you'll get the behavior you desire.
