Re: Work Group!

Hi, and welcome to the forums!

How is the workgroup setup? Do you have a dedicated server for the files/printer, or is one of the workstations acting as the server?

Also, do you have a router, or is one of the workstations acting as a gateway computer?

Finally, what is the password you have to enter?

Re: Work Group!

What versions of Windows are on each of the computers? Be specific, XP-Home, XP-Pro, etc. Also, we need specific details on which computers connect and which don't.

Re: Work Group!

Three computers are using Win XP-Pro one is using Win 2000-Pro.

PC1=Win 2000-Pro
PC2,PC3,PC4= Win XP-Pro

- PC1 connect to PC2 => Need Password (I have tried to type the password of pc1, but it doesn't work), happen the same from PC2 to PC1.
- PC2 to PC3 occured the same problem.
- PC3 to PC4 it seems to be OK
- The rest it seems to be ok.

Thanks,
Bunsak

Re: Work Group!

Try this fix on all machines, see if that helps.

Create a file in notepad named FIXANON.REG with the following contents:

------------------- Use text after this line -------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa]
"restrictanonymous"=dword:00000000
------------------- Use text before this line -----------------

Double click on the file and say Yes to the merge into registry question.
