Hello there,
I'm writing because recently I've developed an ulcer while dealing with my canon dr2050 scanner. I was curious, my colleague has a much better canon scanner than I do, and we sit right next to one another, is it humanly possible to connect the scanner to two computers? And take turns using it? I was told that it's not possible but that might be because the person who told me would much prefer we spend more money on a scanner, but I really want to know if it's possible before taking the plunge. Thanks very much!!!!!! Sam Last edited by ManVSMachine : 05-03-2007 at 09:27 AM. |

Re: Scanner help!!!!!!
If you are on a network it can be networked or shared. I don't know why he told you it cannot. We have two high speed scanners networked here, and the users can utilize either one through our imaging software.

Re: Scanner help!!!!!!
Most SOHO low-cost scanners are not network aware, the drivers don't handle that configuration. There are 3rd party software packages to share scanners, which might do the trick if your drivers don't support networked access.
