PC disappeared from network
I have a network of 3 hardwired PCs and 1 wireless laptop all running XP Pro connected via a USR wirless router. All has been working sweet for a couple of years but after being away from home for a few weeks I have returned to discover that my main PC has removed itself from the LAN. All other computers can quite happily chat between themselves.
The symptoms: 1. In My Network Places the main PC, none of the LAN PCs are shown. 2. The main PC can't access any of the other LAN PCs OR itself through Network Places. 3. The main PC can't be seen or accessed from any of the other PCs either through network places or remote desktop. 4. All PCs including the main PC can still access the internet via the router. I have tried setting up a small office/home network through the wizard on the main PC and secondary PC without any success - it goes through the motions but the main PC is still absent.
