how to access to a internal lan PC from internet
i have a setup of two PC the main pc is connected to internet which is given a unique ip(static) by the isp say aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd
the pc is given an internal ip 172.16.97.54 and the other pc is given internal ip 172.16.97.11 the internet connection is shared with ccproxy software for testing purpose i have hosted a site on 172.16.97.11 the site is also accessinble on 172.16.97.54 when i do http://172.16.97.11 but my webdesigner wants to access it from his office so that he dosent have to come to our office but how can he access the pc 172.16.97.11 from internet i tried to use port map facility in ccproxy but with no success can anyone plz help me with this thanx in advance |

He needs to access the public IP address and you need to configure your firewall (router?) to port forward port 80 to the webserver.

Uhh... He still needs to forward ports, however DynDNS is a good idea to have a static URL to find the site.
