Internet problems
Hello. I have road runner(cable). Recently When I am online and switching between websites I just lose my internet. I have to close my broswer for it to come back 10 seconds later. Also on http://aroundcinci.com/ to check my speed its usually on the Cable spot and speed is usually 4.80 Mbps. Now its on the dsl section and shows my speed as 2.41 Mbps. Anyone now whats wrong? I have windows vista. This all started this week. Help. Thanks.

Re: Internet problems
I'd contact your ISP, sounds like that's where the problem is. Also, you might want to create an account at www.dslreports.com and run their line quality tests. Post a link to the results here and we'll see where that takes us.

That test is only modem connected to PC no router. Should I do it with router next time? |

Re: Internet problems
Let's see the line quality with the router in the mix. That one looks OK, the only issue noted is somewhere away from you, nothing to do with your ISP.

Re: Internet problems
It doesn't appear that the router has any effect, don't know what the issue is. I have to believe this is an ISP issue, and nothing to do with your network.

Re: Internet problems
I'd save that one, because that appears to be an ISP issue. Print that one and have it for the service guy when you make the call you're about to make to the customer service line.

Re: Internet problems
It's possible it's the modem, but I'll lay odds that it's the ISP.
