Need Advice with Networking Situation

Okay Here is my situation. I run a small business and would like to be able to connect to my dedicated server from outside the network onto Remote Desktop on the server. To the office we have a DSL Modem with a static IP.

The computers are all setup with their own unique dedicated static DHCP ip (192.168.1.10x).

The Static IP provided by my ISP is 75.90.xxx.xxx (For Sure an Internet IP address)

How would I make it so that when at home and enter the 75.90.xxx.xxx into my RDP client it connects me to the Server (192.168.1.107).

I am using a RV082 Router and the server is running the Windows Server 2K3 Operating System.

Re: Need Advice with Networking Situation

You will need to set up Port Forwarding on your router to forward port 3389 (for RDP) on both TCP and UDP to your server.

Take a look here for easy step-by-step instructions with visuals to set up port forwarding on your Linksys RV082 for Remote Desktop.

Is that all that would need to be done?

yeh port fowarding, then when you pop your modems static ip into the RDP client it sends the request directly to the modem and sort of says, "i got to the right block of houses can you show me where number 107 is please i need to connect to it via RDP"
