just playing with wireless USB
I am just playing with my girlfriends Belkin Wireless G USB Adaptor on my desktop and I got it installed to see how many people around me have wireless internet. On her computer it finds about 5 different signals but when i installed it I dont find any, not even my own.. Its like I can't do anything with the program at all. I can't even change it to use the Windows utility instead of the belkin program to look for signals. Is this caused by me being connected already? I tried unplugging my modem and restarting and it does the same thing. It wont even look for a signal. I have reinstalled it twice with no luck. All of the buttons in the belkin utility are greyed out also so I cant Add a connection or anything at all....

Re: just playing with wireless USB
i have it hooked back up to her laptop now and she picks up one other connection all the time with a very low signal. Why wont mine pick that up at least. I even put the USB adaptor right beside the port i was using on my computer and it found it. When i plug the adaptor back into my computer is says new hardware found but then it cant find it to install it. I dont get it.. lol
