I am connected to a WLAN network 3 PC connected to a router "Wireless".
I installed a camera on a PC on a other PC on the same network as me. I thought maybe it was possible to watch the camera on my PC via the LAN. I know how to do it via Internet, but I want to do it via WLAN. The question is where can I find a software to do this, maybe VideoLan? It had been perfect if the cam program started in a tray icon when the computer started without popping up every time. |

Re: How to setup a live wifi cam?
If you setup a simple web server on your local LAN, you can run the webcam the same as you would over the Internet.

Re: How to setup a live wifi cam?
I believe for streaming video, it'll get a lot more complicated.

I could have a picture on my site that gets updated every second.
Then I could have a script on my page that will automatically update the page. But I need an application that can update a picture file every second from my webcam. Last edited by Goneval : 04-16-2007 at 07:08 AM. |

See if any of these do the trick.
